The Token

So yes it has been awile since I posted. In my defense work has been crazy and I changed stores.

So The Token! Laura and I went to Santa Monica for the day last Friday. We went to see a Restraunt where one of the contestants from "The Next Food Network Star" worked and to try the restraunt. Well we went to the wrong one but we decided to still spend the day in town.

We went and saw the Pier and rode soem rides. We went to the shops. There is this shop out here called Lush. You women would love it. It carries all of these naturally made bubble bathes, bath balms, massage bars, face scrubs, and much, much more. We ended up eating at Johny Rockets before the mivie we were going to see. It seems all of the restrooms have a lock on the door and you need a Token to get in and use the restroom. You have to ask the waitress or staff to get this token. All of the shops out there were like this. Some had signs that said you good use coins or the token and that it was to help maintain the costs of vandalism. So you think well I'll just get a bunch of coins from one place and use them at every other place. Well it doesnt work like that. We went to a French restruant for desert to get some desert on a desert I cant spell, and they had a different smaller token.

Now I think to myself and wonder how bad does the vandalism have to get before I have to put a token lock on my restroom door? i dont know the answer to that and just in two restraunts I saw how easier it is to get around the token locks. I got a little kick out of the token lock and though ya'll might too.

Until next time, be safe and Happy Hunting.

Ok that is just somewhat disturbing to me. Token bathrooms to prevent vadalism? That has to get to be a big issue to go to that length, to me at least.

Scott posted!!!!!

So, does one have to pay for these tokens or are they free? One of the big things I didn't like about living in Europe is that you have to pay to use the bathrooms - I was really looking forward to coming home to American where bathrooms are free!

Well many years ago on a trip that went through Arkansas I discovered pay toilets. All I will say is i was much smaller and the space under the door was large enough to.....
